Responding to news that First Bus will soon begin use of two new hybrid electric buses in Bristol, Martin Garrett, chair of Transport for Greater Bristol (TfGB), said:
“These two buses are a good start in reducing air pollution in Bristol, which currently causes devastating health problems for both young and old around the city.
“They represent one of the positive legacies of our city’s year as European Green Capital, and it’s important we all work together to secure a greener future for Bristol, particularly within the world of transport
“First Bus deserve praise for improving their fleet – as well as recent improvements on ticketing prices, which have helped more people make the switch to public transport.”
